Hello My Name Is...
Mrs. Lisa Doyle
It is my strong desire for students to be involved in their environment. Lessons are focused on transition, or life as an adult. Lessons focus on communication, daily living skills, and academics for people with Mental Disabilities- Severe. Movement, audio, visual materials, and technology are used to enhance learning.
I believe ALL students should do what they know, while trying to learn new skills. Lessons are individually taught with many practice sessions and less prompts as practice continues. We play all sports in Adaptive Phys. Ed. Class. We love working with peer groups such as Teacher Cadets and psychology students.
I am a 1984 graduate of IN State, http://www.indst.edu. I earned my bachelor of science degree in special education. I have taught students, with challenges, of all ages in and out of the school classroom.
