The International Baccalaureate Programme provides 11th and 12th grade students from Darlington County a rigorous, holistic curriculum leading to an IB Diploma. Students apply for entry into the program in 9th or 10th grades, and if accepted are enrolled in an accelerated curriculum that prepares them for the rigors for the IB Diploma Programme.
HARTSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL IB JUNIORS EXCEED NATIONAL SAT AVERAGE
SAT scores are a strong predictor of a student's success in his / her freshman year of college. The average SAT score of Hartsville High School IB juniors in 2008-2009 was 1561 on a 2400 scale. This score exceeded the average South Carolina SAT score for seniors (1445) as well as the average National SAT score for seniors (1493).
100% of IB Juniors Pass Math Studies SL IB Exam Scores Exceed the International Average
Our initial class of IB juniors took the IB Math Studies SL External Exam in May, 2009. IB scores range from 1 - 7, with a score of 4 considered passing. Each IB junior scored a 5 or a 6, with the average score being 5.25. This exceeded the International Average of 4.61. Congratulations to these IB juniors and Mrs. Carey Steen the IB Math Studies SL Instructor.
