Students apply for entry into the program in the 8th, 9th, or 10th grades, and if accepted are enrolled in an accelerated curriculum that prepares them for the rigors for the IB Diploma Programme.

By Invitation
The last step in the IB Application and Evaluation process will be the IB Interview. Students who have met the criteria thus far will be invited to interview with two Hartsville High School faculty members. Interviews will last approximately 15 minutes and students are asked to arrive 10 minutes prior to their interview time. After the interview portion is complete, students will be asked to indicate a foreign language preference (French or Spanish) if accepted to attend the IB Magnet Programme. This does not obligate a student to take a particular foreign language but will assist us in estimating the number of sections of each foreign language we need to offer next year.
