IB Magnet Programme Individual Tours Available
Thanks to the students and parents who attended the Hartsville High School IB Open House Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Visitors were able to tour the campus, visit classes, and hear from IB and pre-IB teachers and parents. HHS IB Magnet Programme Admission Criteria Rubric
- Academic Transcript & Current Class Schedule 30%
- Teacher Recommendation 10%
- Standardized Test Scores 20%
- Writing Sample 20%
- Interview 10%
- Discipline Record 5%
- Attendance 5%
Students who have successfully completed Algebra I Honors, English I Honors, and Physical Science and have achieved a score of 80% or higher on the Admission Requirement Rubric are eligible for selection to the International Baccalaureate Magnet Programme.
Each year 40 rising 9th grade students are selected to attend the HHS IB Magnet Programme. Rising 10th and 11th grade students may apply for admission and may qualify for vacancies. Students from all sections of Darlington County may attend the HHS IB Magnet Programme.
