IB History of the Americas
IB History of the Americas is a two year course taken during the Junior and Senior years as part of the IB Programme.  Our main focus of time is between 1890 to 1990.  We learn how to read and interpret documents such as speeches, letters, quotes, and political cartoons.  We focus on the world wide impact of our topic of studies. Our topic of studies are: How did the United States became a world power?  The Move to Global War, World War II and the Cold War time period from 1945 - 1990.  At the end of year two, students will take three exams.  The are called Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3.  Students that pass the three exams will have an opportunity to earn college credits.
